Raah is operated by Selah Enterprises LLC. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, who processes it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. Short version: we collect what the product needs to work, we don't sell your data, and payment card numbers never touch our servers.
Information We Collect
- Account data — your name, email address, and authentication status, managed through our sign-in provider (Clerk).
- Subscription data — your plan, billing period, and subscription status. Payment card details are collected and stored by Stripe, never by Raah.
- Product research activity — searches, analyzed products, saved products, alerts you create, and feature usage events (e.g. that a search ran and how many results it returned).
- Legal agreement records — when you accept our Terms, we record your user ID, email, the document version, a timestamp, your browser's user-agent string, and IP address (see “Legal Agreement Records”).
- Technical and log data — request timing, errors, device/browser information, and service diagnostics.
- Support data — messages you send to support, so we can help you.
How We Use Information
We use information to operate Raah, provide product analysis and alerts, enforce plan limits, maintain security and prevent fraud or abuse, troubleshoot issues, measure which features are used so we can improve them, comply with legal obligations, and communicate with you about your account. We do not use your data to train third-party AI models.
Payments
All payments are processed by Stripe. Raah never receives or stores your full payment card number. Stripe's handling of your payment data is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.
Third-Party Processors
We use a small set of service providers to run Raah, each receiving only what their function requires:
- Clerk — authentication and account management (name, email, sign-in metadata).
- Stripe — payments and subscription billing.
- MongoDB Atlas — our application database (account references, research activity, records described above).
- Railway — application hosting (processes requests, including IP addresses, as any web host does).
- Cloudinary — hosting of product images shown in the app (no personal data).
Market data shown in Raah (trends, ads, supplier listings) comes from external data sources; those pipelines process public market data, not your personal information.
Legal Agreement Records
When you accept our Terms of Service (at the in-app consent prompt or at checkout), we permanently store the acceptance record — user ID, email, document version, timestamp, user-agent, and IP address. We keep these records because they are evidence of the contract between us; they are retained even if other data is deleted, to the extent the law permits.
Cookies & Local Storage
Raah uses strictly functional cookies and browser storage: authentication session cookies (set by Clerk) and small local-storage preferences (e.g. a dismissed banner, or an affiliate code you arrived with so it can be applied at checkout). We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Analytics & Retention
We record product usage events (like searches and saves) to understand what's used and what's broken. Usage events auto-delete after 180 days. Operational logs are kept only as long as needed for reliability and security. Account and subscription records are kept while your account exists and as required for tax, accounting, and legal obligations. Legal agreement records are retained as described above.
We Do Not Sell Your Data
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. In the language of the California Consumer Privacy Act: we do not “sell” or “share” personal information.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information — encrypted connections (TLS), authenticated APIs, access controls, and vendor providers with strong security practices. No online service can guarantee perfect security; if we learn of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.
Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live (including California and the EU/UK), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, email contact@raahapp.com from the address on your account — we verify requests and respond within the time the applicable law requires. Some records (billing, legal agreement records, fraud prevention) may be retained where the law allows or requires. You can cancel your subscription anytime in Manage Billing, and delete your account by contacting us.
Children
Raah is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children; if you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as Raah changes. The Last Updated date shows when the current version took effect; material changes will be notified in-app or by email.
